Jonas' Life

Jonas Gilmore • June 4, 2026

Howdy. My name is Jonas, I am 36.

I'm that smiley dork you've probably seen around. I’ve lived in New Albany basically my entire life.

I've been a part of the church my entire life, but how long I've been a Christian, I have no idea.

To be honest, I don't read my Bible; I'm not a big reader in general. I can't say I believe the Bible in its entirety. My favorite book has been Job, to go through all that and still praise. That's inspiring. I think they overcriticized Job. He does eventually break, which, yeah, it's pretty reasonable. He's only human after all. My life verse is Genesis 1:30: It's All Good. If God made everything and saw that it was Good, then what does that make life?

Growing up, Sunday school and church talked about having a relationship with God, and boy do I. We're inseparable, tough break, big guy. I attribute my calm lifestyle to my relationship. I really haven’t had true hardships because God & I face everything together. Only by looking back did I start to truly see his works. The subtlety of it all might be dismissed to some, but they're too coincidental, too connected.

He was there during my Growth Hormone Deficiency, guiding us to the Sabalas who led us to their specialist, beginning treatment just in time before puberty kicked in.

Lately, well, not sure what God's plan is, not that I ever knew, but he's guided me to start a Dungeons & Dragons YouTube podcast show. Which has been an epic experience. I am very thankful for it and everything else he's done.
