How I Became a Christian
I was not born into a Christian Home

My Mother was the organist at Main Street Methodist Church, and my Dad went to the Catholic church. When they married, they could not agree on which church to attend, so they went to no church. At the age of 12, I had never been to any church, nor had my sister Norma.
One afternoon, I decided to go somewhere on my bike. As I was mounting my bike, a voice spoke to me saying, ( Billy, you need to be in church.) Well. Hearing this voice but seeing no one, I ran into the house and told my Mother what I had just experienced. She told me that I should go, but she did not offer to go with me, and neither did my Dad. When Sunday came, I rode my bike to Main Street Methodist Church. For 2 years, I continued to go alone. Loving the game of basketball, I decided to join their church team. One night, we were scheduled to play Wesley Chapel, who beat us soundly. Turned out that I knew most of their players from school. That very night, they invited me to join their team, which I did.
So at the age of 14, I joined Wesley Chapel Church and have never left for 81 years. However, like most people, I was in church every Sunday but had not accepted Jesus as my PERSONAL SAVIOR.17 YEARS LATER AT THE AGE OF 31 IN A REVIVAL REV. LLOYD SHANNON LED ME TO ACCEPT JESUS AS MY LORD AND SAVIOR (APRIL 11th, 1962). Later, my sister, mother, and father joined Wesley and also accepted Jesus. Doesn't the Lord work in strange ways to guide us where He wants us to go? He used the youngest ( 12 years old) to lead the Schuppert Family into church to their SALVATION.
