Floyd County Small Groups

Small groups are a great opportunity for people looking to get better connected to the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church community. It gives individuals a chance to know one another outside of the conventional Sunday morning church services.

Small groups provide three basic necessities for developing healthy spiritual growth:
  • Accountability
  • Forward Momentum
  • Missional Identity
Accountability is important because it facilitates faith growth like few other relationships will. Life can be challenging and full of temptations, but with the help of small groups and accountability partners, you know you’re not facing it alone.

Forward momentum means that your connection with the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church community doesn’t end when you leave the campus on Sunday morning. Intentionally doing life together keeps momentum moving forward throughout the week. This momentum can create an atmosphere for individuals to ask questions, seek help from one another, and challenge each other in their spiritual walk.

Developing a missional identity simply means that, while small groups are intended to develop the spiritual growth of the individuals involved, they are still focused outward in some capacity. There’s a certain part of spiritual growth that can only happen when you start to serve others around you, and that’s exactly what creating a missional identity is all about. Whether it means volunteering your time to help the people of Floyd County, or focusing globally, our small groups encourage serving other people.
